Friday Photo #1

Ordinary Object in an Extraordinary Way

You can make an ordinary "everyday" object into an interesting photograph by capturing it in a way that one doesn’t usually see it.

To do this, start by experimenting with different camera angles. Take lots of photos of your subject from different viewpoints. Try to show what is interesting about your subject. Show your object in a way that's never been seen before. Show the details that make it unique.

Your subject may be anything you wish, but it cannot be alive (plants/vegetation are fine). Do not photograph anything that might move or run away from you.

Your subject may be very small or very large. Take more than enough photos so you have one good one to choose to hand in on Friday.

Here is an example of an ordinary object (marker) captured in many different angles and viewpoints. Try using the macro setting on your camera, (looks like a little tulip flower) if you are zooming in close. Try to focus on different parts of your object.
